Avsh Alom Gur Spring/ Summer 2010

Presentations were a prominent addition at the recent London Fashion Week which allowed designers to showcase there collection in a more intimate surroundings with the audience being able to interactive directly, up-close and personal with the garments. After admiring the craftsmanship of the collection they offer a great space for socialising and networking and also meeting with the designer for a personal chat. Avsh Alom Gur Spring/ Summer collection was presented at London Fashion Week as a static instillation at On/Off, 180 the strand.
This season saw a clean, modern silhouette, built on simple lines and geometric shapes. Challenged by the illusion of OpArt, Avsh Alom Gur gives movement to black and white prints, offsetting them with bold injections of colour. Simple Fluid cut dresses make for effortless feminine dressing. Simple graphic shapes of the Silk jumpsuits and dresses are for an individual yet timeless in style. See-thru prints flirt with light and shade, which cast a beautiful silhouette against the skin. Combination of glamourous, bold and playful stand out pieces, see pictures above.
Setting a new mood for fashion a collaboration with photographer David Roemer saw the two come together in Roemer's hometown of New York to shot the editorial for the limited edition publication which was distributed at the event (see some images below).
