Underwear as Outerwear

Throughout centuries Fashion, the thin, layered fabrics and astounding embroideries of undergarments worked their way progressively outward. Underwear as outerwear trend has gained some momentum with the Spring ’09 shows from Marni, MaxMara , and Marc Jacobs glorified this trend. Can we forget when Sienna Miller wore bloomers as pants back in January 2007, and when Carrie strutted in nude-sequined Dolce and Gabbana underwear on an episode of “Sex and the City.”
